Swing by Jake's Landing, our Whynot Adventure HQ for a brief moment before (to get sized for paddles and pfds) driving yourself down to Eel Weir where you'll start and finish this 4-hour guided tour. This tour includes guided interpretation, canoes, paddles and safety equipment and a snack with a non-alcoholic beverages.

On this tour, weather permitting, we'll guide you out to Keji Lake from the Eel Weir and share with you some of our insight and stories we've collected over the years. While paddling your canoe through dark waters, you'll learn about one Keji Lake resident who's probably better travelled than you (can you guess who?) and scratch your head while trying to grasp how long the Mi’kmaq people have inhabited this land. A quick snack and beverage will be enjoyed in a hidden cove on a beach, before completing the circuit back down to George Lake and where you parked your vehicle. Time permitting, you may even get to see the remains of the original Will-Bo-Wil cabin.

The tour price includes:

  • canoes

  • pfd's

  • paddles

  • boater safety kits

  • a guide

  • light snack and beverage
