Bike Mechanic 2025

Bike Mechanic (Full-time or Part-time) 2025

We keep a small fleet of about 20 bicycles on site at Jake's Landing. We have a service shop that has all the tools and space for maintaining the fleet, too. We just need you and your skill set to help us keep our bikes rolling along smoothly.

Our bicycles require regular maintenance with work spanning from changing a bike tube to installing a new drivetrain. The bulk of the workload is troubleshooting followed by repairs.

We are open to this position being full time (supplemented with rental tech work when the bikes are in good working order) or part-time, arriving twice a week to service the bikes needing attention. Or, something in-between.

Whynot Adventure has a small repair shop with dang-near all the tools you’ll need. If you deem we’re missing something and are convincing (don’t worry, I’m pretty convincible when it comes to buying tools), we’ll go ahead and get it fer’ya.

Ask about accommodations.

Wage will reflect experience and effectiveness, but won't be below $17/hr .

This position is available:

  • Mid-May through to mid-October (negotiable)

Some things that'll give you a foot-up above others:

  • bike mechanic training/experience

  • optimism

  • no problem with greasy hands

  • enjoys mechanical mysteries

Send a cover letter (important!) detailing what you've accomplished (in line with this job) that you're proud of and what you intend to do for us and how that'll translate to us becoming the best adventure tourism company in the world. Please include your resume, too. (info@whynotadventure.ca) Also, even if you don’t feel you’re qualified or are just nervous, send your resume and cover letter anyway (some of our finest team members almost didn’t apply…).
